Smith Still Leads NZ Chess Congress After Six Rounds

Despite dropping his first draw, homegrown FIDE Master Bob Smith continues to lead the New Zealand Chess Congress with 5.5/6.

Smith will face a big test in young Australian International Master Ari Dale in the seventh round.

Dale is also unbeaten but half a point behind with 5/6 and is followed by fellow International Masters Anthony Ker, and Russell Dive, FIDE Masters Nicholas Croad and Tim Reilly and Candidate Masters Daniel Gong and Peng Shunkai, all on 4.5/6.
